Finding a Toy Train Event
TCA members have access to a variety of train meets and other activities. Information about these is made available regularly.
Division and Chapter Train Meets
are held regularly around the country. They range in size and frequency, and represent a wonderful way to compare notes, buy and sell trains, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow hobby members. The latest listing is included in the National Headquarters News, and is also posted here. Divisions are requested to submit schedules to the National Business Office in a timely fashion for inclusion. In addition, the websites of the respective TCA divisions provide details on such activities.
Each year a different division hosts the National Convention, held in June. A special web site, tcaconvention.org, is dedicated to providing extensive details and online registration for the year's convention.
Future locales are listed here.
TCA periodically conducts special events which are summarized on the Museum site.
In the past, these have included cruises and special bus trips; none are currently scheduled. Activities and events are subject to change.
A popular event at the National Toy Train Museum is the Open House held the Wednesday before each York meet.
Here, members and the public may view the exhibits, visit the National Toy Train Library, and hear presentations by major toy train manufacturers. The presentations are taped for inclusion in TCA Netvision.
